Thunder Herd is a five-reel, four-row video slot in the style of the big 1024-ways cabinets on a casino floor. There are no paylines to pick: every spin plays all 1,024 ways. Choose a bet multiple with BET − and BET + (1x, 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x, which is 40, 80, 120, 200 or 400 coins a spin), then tap SPIN or press Space. MAX BET jumps to 10x and spins. AUTO plays 25 spins in a row (tap again to stop) and TURBO makes the reels stop faster. Tap SPIN or the reels while they turn to stop them at once; the result was already decided when you pressed SPIN, so stopping early never changes it.
Coins per way at 1x (40-coin bet). Multiply by your bet multiple. The scatter row is the coins paid for 5, 4 or 3 gold coins anywhere.
Coins at 1x (40-coin bet). The thunder coin chance is per paid spin; the Stampede chance is per full meter.
We simulated 12 million paid spins of the exact game code, with free spins, retriggers, thunder coin drops and the Stampede meter all included. Thunder Herd pays back about 95.8 coins for every 100 bet over the long run: about 50 from ways wins, 3 from gold coin pays, 27.7 from free spins, 8 from thunder coin drops and 7.1 from the Stampede meter. About 40 spins in 100 win something on the reels (many of those wins are smaller than the bet), and something pays on about 42 spins in 100 once coin drops and Stampede bonuses are counted. Free spins start about once every 84 spins, last about 10 spins on average and pay about 23 times the bet on average, with a very wide spread. A thunder coin drops on 1 spin in 8 and averages 0.64 times the bet. The Stampede bonus comes every 30 paid spins and averages 2.1 times your average bet. Counting all three, a bonus of some kind lands about once every 6 spins. Every bet multiple has the same odds. Every spin is independent: the reels have no memory, nothing is "due", and a long dry run does not make a feature more likely. The Stampede meter is the one thing that does build up, and it shows you exactly how many spins are left. Because the long-run return is below 100, any stack of coins drains over time, which is exactly why the coins here are free and worthless.
Thunder Herd uses the one shared Play in Phone coin wallet, so the coins you win here are the same coins you can play with in our other casino-style games, and a balance changed in another tab shows up here straight away. Coins are play money: there is no shop, nothing to buy and nothing to cash out. If you run low, the Refill coins button tops you back up for free, and a free daily bonus is waiting once a day.
