Prepare an exact amount. Choosing it updates the original action button; confirm there to bet.
Compare an estimate against the price of calling. This never places a bet.
Estimate your share of the pot, including split pots. Only public chip amounts are used. This comparison assumes no more bets and cannot predict opponents' cards.
Everyone gets two private cards. Two players post blinds, then there are four betting rounds: before the flop, after the flop (three shared cards), the turn (a fourth) and the river (a fifth). The dealer button moves one seat each hand.
On your turn you can fold, check (when nothing is owed), call, or bet/raise. No-limit: you can bet any amount up to your whole stack. A raise must be at least as big as the last bet or raise. A player who goes all-in can only win the part of the pot they matched; the rest forms a side pot.
At showdown the best five-card hand wins; equal hands split the pot. Best to worst:
Tournament: blinds rise every 8 hands; win the table by taking every bot's chips. Cash table: blinds stay at 5/10 and bots rebuy when they bust. Bots see only their own cards. Chips are for play only and have no money value; if you run out you get a free new stack.
