How to play Lucky Sevens Slots

Lucky Sevens is a classic three-reel fruit machine with five paylines. Choose how many lines to play (1 to 5) and how many coins to bet on each line (1 to 5), then tap Spin or press Space. Your total bet is lines times coins per line.

• Paylines: line 1 is the middle row, line 2 the top row, line 3 the bottom row, lines 4 and 5 the two diagonals. Lines you are not playing never pay.
• Hold: after some losing spins the HOLD buttons light up. Lock up to two reels and the next spin only turns the others. Holds are never offered after a win or straight after a held spin, and your bet is locked while a hold is on offer. With all 5 lines in play a hold comes up on about 1 spin in 10; with fewer lines it comes up less often (about 1 in 28 on a single line), because a hold on one line is worth much more.
• Nudges: after some losing spins (about 1 in 60) you get 1 to 3 nudges. Each nudge drops one reel down by one symbol. Tap Done to take the result.
• Coin Drop: on any spin, win or lose, there is a 1 in 12 chance a gold coin lands on the glass. It pays 1x your total bet (88% of drops), 2x (8%), 5x (3%) or 10x (1%).
• Lucky Meter: every paid spin lights one of 25 lamps. Light them all and the Lucky 7 Bonus starts: pick one of three 7s. Each hides 1x (50%), 2x (30%), 3x (12%), 5x (5%), 10x (2%) or 25x (1%) your average bet over those 25 spins, so the bonus is the same value however you spread your bets. The meter is saved, so it carries over between visits.
• Two 7s: when the first two reels land 7s on a line you are playing, the last reel slows down so you can watch it land. It never slows down for anything else.

Paytable

Three red 7s pay 400 per coin on a line, Triple BARs 100, Double BARs 50, single BARs 25, bells 30, plums 20, oranges 16, lemons 14, cherries 10 and any mix of three BARs 5. Two cherries from reel 1 pay 4 and one cherry on reel 1 pays 1 (your line stake back). Each reel has 24 stops and every spin is random.

Odds, honestly

Worked out exactly from the reel strips, line wins return 67.0% of coins bet. Coin Drop adds exactly 10.75% (1 in 12 times an average of 1.29 bets) and the Lucky Meter adds exactly 8.64% (an average pick of 2.16 bets every 25 spins). Holds and nudges used well add about 9% more, for about 95.5% overall (we simulated 1,000,000 spins at every line setting: 94.8% to 97.0%). Ignore holds and nudges and it is about 86.4%. At 5 lines about 52% of spins win on a line, 57% pay something, and about 2 spins in 3 pay or light up a feature. Big wins (15x your bet or more) come about 6 times per 1,000 spins at 5 lines. Short sessions swing well above and below these numbers, and past spins never change future ones.
